All hot tubs come with a 1-5 year factory warranty. Half Price Hot Tubs has a full staff of qualified technicians that will service your tub throughout the warranty period and beyond.
- Should I treat my spa water the same way as I treat my pool water?
Although the pH and total alkalinity measurements are the same, the sanitizer level (bromine or chlorine) should be kept between 3-5 ppm. In a spa, the filter requires more frequent cleanings. Water chemicals should ideally be checked at least 2–3 times per week, and more often during heavy use or warmer weather, to maintain safe pH and sanitizer levels.

Hot tub installation typically takes 1–2 days, while pool installation may take several days to a few weeks depending on size and design.

Water Heating & Temperature
- What is the ideal hot tub temperature?
The recommended temperature is usually between 37°C to 40°C (98°F to 104°F), depending on personal comfort.
- How long does it take to heat up?
Most hot tubs take around 4–8 hours to reach the desired temperature depending on starting water temperature and weather conditions.
- How can I reduce heating costs?
You can reduce heating costs by keeping the hot tub covered when not in use, maintaining the recommended water temperature, cleaning filters regularly, and using an energy-efficient insulated cover. Placing the hot tub in a sheltered area away from strong wind can also help retain heat and lower energy usage.
- Why is my heater not reaching the set temperature?
This can happen due to dirty or clogged filters, low water flow, a malfunctioning thermostat, heater element issues, or very cold outdoor temperatures. Checking the cover seal and water level can also help. If the issue continues, a professional inspection is recommended.
